The Ivy League Connection dinner tonight for Columbia students was really awesome. I got a chance to see just how much work the ILC has had to do, continues to do, and does for its students beyond the program. I'm so grateful to be able to say I'm a part of this great program.
I want to give a special thanks to our wonderful benefactors, and to Mr. Ramsey and Ms. Kronenberg for everything they put into this to make it so fantastic for us.
Looking at successful alums was also very nice to see and really inspiring. The speakers were awesome [wink-wink, guess who was a speaker :-D]. The food was also really good: a nice salad + great salmon + a rhubarb pie with very tasty gelato = happy Beulah :-).
Thanks ILC!!!
Thanks for your thoughts, Beulah-so-coola.
ReplyDeleteYour speech was well done and well received.
I hope you don't mind that I threw a photo into your blog just for good measure.
Beulah is such a gifted communicator that as she reminded us that President Obama is a graduate of Columbia, I could easily envision her as following in his Presidential footsteps someday. I'm so glad that my son Jamie will experience New York this summer as a member of such an inspirational group of young scholars as Beulah, Yueming, Michelle, Michael, and Winston.

P.S. Don Gosney's photography is awesome!
Howard,
ReplyDeleteBeulah has such visions herself. As a matter of fact, I'm betting that she may be sending President Obama a note letting him know that he's only keeping the seat warm until she arrives.
And thanks for the kudos about the photo. I like that room and the people that were in it. It really helps to take a nice photo when everything else cooperates.
